New Steelport Project & The City3 Efforts: Most of you know that as of now both the CityRPG mod and the city itself has a terrible quality to it and for sometime now we have been planning a massive overhaul that involves 2 phases: One is a brand new CityRPG mod dubbed City3 which will enter development soon and the second is a rebuild of the entire city which will have a better blend of both terrain, buildings, and custom roads. It will also be built solely to run City3. A screenshot of the planned "New Steelport" (of which it wont even have that name anymore): PS: Its not yet complete, but the basic land shape is already set in stone. Each 1x1 is to represent nearly a 32x32 baseplate of detailed land and terrain. For those that dont feel like checking out the City3 topic, here's a quote from the front page: --- Quote ---I have been in discussion with Brian Smith for sometime and I have decided in the next major revision of "RPGX", the name will be dropped. (Police is by default a group) -Seperates companies and organizations * Professions and not multiple jobs (akin to Sims 3 or Iban's v3 mod) * Resources harvested for city production -Food: Crops, Fish ==feeds City's food supply, able to hold food in your hand and eat it or give it -Ores: Standard Ores & Rare Earth Minerals ==Used for commercial shops for manufactured goods (guns) ==Price and ore cost production determined by damage or handled by special profiles if detected -Trees: Standard Trees & Endangered Trees ==Processed into bricks where you can either use it or sell them to a commercial lot * And finally, a GUI which helps facilitates all of the above -Lists things normally shown in /stats --- End quote --- |
