Boltster doesn't have a real system. Its a bogus hypothetical.

If you want to propose an ACTUAL viable replacement, please do.

how is it not a viable replacement

Its unrealistic.

If you want to get into the mechanics of how it could work, I might take it more seriously. Nobody is asking you to write it out in Torque code, but typing "somehow the build gets valued" is just a fantasy idea.

you're only going against the idea because boltster's proposing it.

are you sure?

i would think it's unfair for a build to be judged simply by the amount of bricks it has in it. you could argue that higher quality builds have more bricks, but this isn't always the case.

good builds are better determined by player ratings, how players see them, how we determine them as "good" and the amount of money they deserve.

your system isn't broken, but i'm just saying, it could be better.

it's closer to how it works in real life than doing it off the number of bricks lol

the mechanics are for you to sort out, the base idea i'm offering is still sound by itself.
people value the build. you can remove outliers /have an admin approval process or whatever, and then revenue is earned based on this (averaged) value. depending on how complicated you want to make it, you could even have an elected player council whose sole purpose is to appraise the value of builds (opens up cool RP possibilities so far as bribery is concerned).

not a fantasy idea at all. maybe you should have just thought about it for a few seconds before dismissing it because of emotions lol
