Author Topic: SUPPOSEDLY, an asteroid is going to hit Earth in 2029  (Read 6076 times)

Uh dude. I'm sure asteroids burn up in entering Earths atmosphere. So I'm sure it wont be the "end" of the world. The asteroid will burn up then hit. Causing a not much big explosion.

If it is large enough it wont burn up entirely.

If it is large enough it wont burn up entirely.
Still, it wont cause an explosion big enough to blow up earth. What is the asteriods size? The size of the sun?

The asteroid will hit earth. Killing off humanity like the extinction of the Dinosaurs

Did you know that comets/meteors/asteroids can explode before hitting the ground?

No asteroid could possibly exist that is that size. There are no solid bodies in the universe the size of our sun. The largest Gas Giant doesn't even compare to our sun.

Ignorance is bliss, I guess?

well actually our sun is extremely loving tiny compared to some other stars so maybe it's plausible there are planets in other solar systems the size of our sun

that being said there's obviously nothing that size in our solar system and the kid who posted that must be like 9 years old

dude, that is going to be so exciting

watching a huge asteriod that wont hit us

We dont know of any planets that large.

I know. But the asteroid will Burn before hitting the floor. So it cant end the world. It will be smaller. It can land anywhere. The ocean or an island with nothing on it. Still, it wont cause an explosion that large. The asteroid will be smaller.

Im guessing you don't know how the Dinosaurs died, do you?

Only 270~ metres big?
Sounds like a great way to test the meteor repellant plans!

Replies posted here like no tomorrow. I know how they died. A meteor struck earth, killing them off.

and that rock was 37 times larger than this one.

The asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was only 10km in diameter. Even if it's 1km, it'll still be a large explosion.
