But it's too slow D:
Turning light into diamonds should take a very, VERY long time.
I love how IC2 actually tries to keep a bit of realism. (in compairison)

Realism is not a valid argument for bad game design.

Dirt blocks have mass and gravity applies to humans, therefore dirt blocks should fall.

I said some.
There's a point where things become so absurd, it's even rediclious from a game standpoint.
I will try to fix the gregtech thing though.

yes, collectors are unfair

they really should take longer or something lol

you could argue that they're expensive and all that, but the way that it's balanced just doesn't seem right. i guess it can be empowering, but that's not necessarily a good thing all the time.

it's executed poorly overall, i think.

i mean, if they costed DM and RM blocks in Mk2 and Mk3 that'd DEFINITELY balance it out a bit better
edit: not enough though, the rate of EMC generation should definitely be toned down

i don't think his argument is realism, i think it's more just how ridiculous it is

You can't cherrypick which features should be realistic and which shouldn't.

industrialcraft has a suit made of energy crystals that lets you run really fast and makes you invincible, and a machine that generates matter from pure electricity your argument for realism is dead
items in minecraft will compress into one entity that gives you multiple items if there are a lot, so a condenser that breaks wont lag, and if it does, then ban the person who broke it

if anyone has mushrooms the villag epeople would like some D:

I actually mentioned the fabricator in my argument. It's not really that bad.

Now that's bullstuff. Unless it is a new update, idk. (still wouldn't be true for the tekkit server)

Fine, forget realism, let's just go with "you shouldn't be able to leave for a week and come back to have an inventory FULL OF DIAMONDS after not doing anything"

well, i suppose the same COULD be said for quarries and the sort as a response

however quarries actually require constant power to run and there's no guarantee of what you'll get so that would be different

not making that argument, just brown townyzing it since i figured someone would

I could program an army of turtle robots to dump their mined stuff into a condenser, and I would come back to an inventory full of diamonds.

not really since the bulk of that would be stone or dirt or gravel or things of that nature

hence the army.

hence the army.

you'd need a lot of turtles digging out a lot of blocks, haha
