Author Topic: Where have all the Blocklanders gone?  (Read 2892 times)

There are good servers out there were the host just quits hosting due to nobody joining since there busy with the big time servers such as Boss Battles or Glass's, not saying those are bad but I dunno, I think players need to start giving other servers a chance. That's why I choose to join small time servers I'd call them and try to get them popular.
These are really hard to find

Seriously, we lost the player who kick started the era of City roleplay servers (Jookia), and many other notables, am I right? I've noticed a huge decline in the amount of addons being created, and the ones that are being made are small gadgets, with only a set few being major addons that truly change gameplay. No disrespect to the makers of addons, but we're losing these players.

A huge nuclear explosion from a toxic waste factory in japan exploded. It then  proceeded to destroy the Ozone layer, flooding the world, and now only the blocklanders under the ground, or high in the sky may play. And all the forumers who dont play blockland anymore are lost souls from hell.

hurricane sandy killed everyone

I'm still here, after two years.

I just can't play because i'm posting off a phone, I have no internet.

since late 2007- early 2008
ID 1234

I severely miss getting banned from servers for ID 1234 being too high.
I remember when Blockland had a sub-1k ID base and everyone who didn't transfer from an older version of the game was basically unwelcome. It was pretty funny.

I blame the mappers who thought maps=building, the paranoid people who think ever is a build stealer, family rps, poorly made deathmatches. I remember in the early days Clans were cool and big part of the game, we have interesting stuff like Mr. Wallets Tycoon thing, and people were friendly and mature to some degree. Perhaps creating some themed build servers.

school, college

since we haven't attracted much dedicated pre- and young teen users basically everyone's aging and getting more busier.
This. Blockland's community never got much bigger, all the same people seemed to stick with it and gradually those people are getting older and have more things to attend to.

I don't want Blockland to get on Steam cause then we will have alot of bad servers and noobs.

Too bad. I think our community could benefit from now that I put some thought into it over the last month or so.

Anouther question, why do people play blockland?
