Author Topic: does this logo look correct  (Read 3221 times)

The new font is a big no

100% ew

4 words look like words, a logo should be distinct.

damn because that giant green crystal that takes up half of it is so hard to see

Try putting the diamond between the words project and root, so it's project <> root.

It really isn't very interesting at all.  It doesn't draw your eye in at all and I think the 3D emerald shape thing really throws the entire logo off.

Ditch the drop shadow effects and clean it up more.  Good logos don't have all those distracting bells and whistles.  You also really need to work on it's composition.  The words and the emerald shape really don't play off of each other at all, they're just kind of randomly floating in space.  They need to work together.

You have no idea what he means, and it's pretty clear that you don't know a single thing about graphic design lol..

Don't ask the community for their opinion on your logo if you're going to take good criticism like that.

Ditch the white writing, it doesn't go well with the huge emerald and whatever it says at the bottom

>everyone telling me what to take off

>nobody telling me what to add after i take it off

>everyone telling me what to take off

>nobody telling me what to add after i take it off
You know maybe if you told us clearly what this thing was for we might be able to help, there's a crazy idea.

So much this.

You can't design a logo for a company or project if you don't even know what the dang project is.

its for a graphic novel that takes place in chicago, 2018, after a wormhole to a parallel universe opens and ww3 stars.

heres a magical paragraph from the project notes:

"It's been six years since the Universal Collapse, caused by the holy lord Chuck, where portals opened between the parallel worlds that connect us all, six years since i've seen any of the other members of the original 5. Lionfez now owns one of the worlds most prestigious fruit companies in the world, making him rich even in the times like these, Sprinkles became one of the few survivors to be accepted into the testing programs, Periwinkle now works with his dad, the god Paul, to clean up the debris left over from the Universal Collapse, Makatnix is now CEO of Makatnindustries, and Triangles, well, nobody knows where triangle went. Vanished of the face of the earth without a trace. The old base was abandoned and we all went our separate ways after the Universal Collapse. Not much has happened in the “Real World” as of late, China and Russia finally got down and dirty and started WW3, the US annexed Canada to create the USCA, and millions of little things terrorize humans every day left over from the Collapse. That’s where the mercenaries come in. Being in the USCA though, where its illegal, makes mercenary work harder than ever before, although the USCA now has little to no influence in the 3 major cities, New San Francisco, York, and Chicago. The only god that rules over the land is Paul, and he’s not doing a very good job at it. Mercenaries, being who they are, generally don’t have families, only companions. With the Blusterous Company Peytonia Enterprises coming out of the rubble into the new world, the only thing mercenaries can do at times like these is, run faster."

does that answer your question

also there are 3 different "project" things, all doing different things but revolving around the main idea of a "project"

Well your logo honestly doesn't give me the impression of the story at all.

Chicago 2018 during a time of war w/ a wormhole opening to a parallel universe.  Thats what your logo has to represent.

I don't know what you were going for but I made it look more Chicago-ey. Unfortunately I wasn't using adobe fireworks, the program I'm used to using, so I had to use gimp. Gimp has a lot of setbacks when you're trying to make stuff from scratch, you can't even make vertical text.
