Hey, Off Topic. Many of you know me as "that one cigarette" and I want to change that.
When you find yourself saying this, congratulations, you've been conditioned to thinking you're an idiot because you've been given a hard time.
Everyone gets a hard time here. And if you are saying "nope I don't" than chances are its
YOU who are upsetting people.
I'm beginning to use proper capitalization and spelling, like one with intelligence would utilize. No, I'm not sucking up to you, but it's a start.
One with intelligence would utilize? How about anyone who wants to read, write, and speak English properly lol. Its a good thing you want to tidy up your writing but the reasons for doing it seem a little messed up. If you actually feel worried about being judged on how you write on forums (taking into account lots of people don't put the effort in, like bisjac for example) than that is the real problem.
Do you guys have any other suggestions for me? I want to be able to communicate with someone without it turning into a fight.
I don't recommend coming to the Blockland forums if you are looking for a nice conversation.
People are much nicer ingame so try there.
Many people on these forums will not take you or themselves seriously. There is a bad culture here and there is a domino effect of arguments thanks to a few bitter people spoiling the bunch.
You'd have to get the entire website to depersonalize conversations and avoid taking their anger out on people who don't deserve it. Getting that to work when you are dealing with children , miserable teenagers, and the odd immature young adult? I don't think so.
Its a lost cause, mixing kids and video games and putting them together on a discussion board always ends in a pitiful and pathetic outcome the Internet over.
