Author Topic: Why 24/7 servers need to be monitored v4  (Read 2005 times)

I'm admin there, I am getting on if they are still doing it. I doubt they are though.

As from this and various past experiences, We have learned a server can never go well, When the host depends on the players to act respectfully and follow the rules without monitering and stopping them along with the team of administration.
Mods can also reduce the need for admins.

I plan on eventually hosting someday, but having two people who I trust very much being "plainclothes admins", who can kick/ban but when they do, nobody will know who did it, it'll just say "A plainclothes admin has kicked/banned whoever"
After the first guy trolls when he thinks no admins are on, he gets banned and goes "WTF" and then nobody else will try it because they NEVER KNOW when the admins might be watching...

Mods can also reduce the need for admins.
Of course they can, The host just needs to work on whos monitering the server more

And this is why I never do dedicated servers.

If only there was a way to disable player-to-player collision. That would literally solve half of the griefing/trolling problems.
This so much.

This so much.
Yeah except it's not possible as far as add-ons go.

If it was it would already have been done.

That's kind of him to stop players from doing that.
