Best version of Wine to run Blockland in?

My version (1.4.X) is okay, but if I even look at the cottage build it lags me a little. So, for those of you using wine to play, what's the best non-lag efficient version you use? I've seen topics where people say that it runs faster than windows.

If you are using ubuntu or mint go into the software center and just download the Wine thats there.
