Author Topic: Best version of Wine to run Blockland in?  (Read 1487 times)

My version (1.4.X) is okay, but if I even look at the cottage build it lags me a little. So, for those of you using wine to play, what's the best non-lag efficient version you use? I've seen topics where people say that it runs faster than windows.

What version of linux are you using? ubuntu, mint, other?

If you are using ubuntu or mint go into the software center and just download the Wine thats there.

Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit

Kernel Linux 3.2.0-33-generic

GNOME 3.4.2

Moderator, move this to Help.

damn brother update your kernel
Anyways, I've had nothing but good experiences with Blockland under Wine 1.5.2 and above, so personally I'll recommend the newest builds. If you're running on an Intel Graphics Accelerator using the MESA driver, you won't get that much of an improvement over Windows, but still a slight improvement.

newest one is the one i use.

GNOME 3.4.2
hold up a second. that's not gnome silly
that's XFCE 4.8.

GNOME 3 looks something like this.

also using wine 1.5.17, runs fine.
