I doubt it. They even referenced how rare it is for an audience to get up and cheer. They were cheering because they exceeded expectations.
The fat kid was singing a great song at opera professional quality. With that performance people would cheer no matter what. I don't get why you think the judge's opinions are shared by the rest of the audience.
