I honestly don't see how this is "rejuvenating" the clans reputation. Sure, some people needed to be kicked out, why couldn't you just kick them out? I don't know if i will be re-applying. Maybe some other day, but if i do, it will be my 2nd re-application.

Too many purges and you're going to run out of actual members, just the elite[ist] reviewers.

And people who like to, and are good at building stuff.

EDIT: Also, could you elaborate the term "no recycled builds"? Does that mean that you want an entirely new build, the first brick having been planted after the purge? Or can I finish one of my various projects that I haven't finished?

I was thinking about finishing the base I did for the MotE Moon build, but I'm not sure if that would be considered recycling or not, since it's about 20% finished in its current state.

If the problem is the new people, can't you just make people who joined after Retail or whatever rejoin? It's not like you're going to be changing who leads the clan or anything, and I'm predicting people will just be accepted again because they're the reviewer's friends rather than any level of skill or usefulness. I don't think this will really change the clan or help its reputation much.

Look at it this way:  It is a check-up to make sure that all clan members can build.  If you got in once, shouldn't your building ability have improved enough to make it easy to get in the second time?

This is a building game, you're in a building clan. If building is a chore for you, maybe you don't belong in this clan after all.

Look at it this way:  It is a check-up to make sure that all clan members can build.  If you got in once, shouldn't your building ability have improved enough to make it easy to get in the second time?

Well if that's what it has to be than good riddance. The whole point of joining this clan for me was to have fun, and forcing me to build as if this was a job in the real world is just ludicrous. I predict the only people that will still be left in the clan after this are the enthusiasts and the "reviewers", roughly leaving about 3 to 8 members.

The problem for me here is that I am uninspired. With anything, art, programming, etc, I need inspiration to go all out on it. My apartment was the last thing I was really inspired to do, and even then I had troubles finishing it. I don't think I'll ever be able to get back in with a large scale build. :(

I think allowing the clan to continue declining with people who can't build is far worse then weeding out those who can't build, even if it takes out a few members that were liked.

I believe that a purge is necessary, it separates the non-active players from the active players. It shouldn't be too hard to make a new app. What the purge is doing is showing who cares and who doesn't care.

As it has previously been stated, this game's main focus is building. If you don't enjoy building, maybe the game isn't for you, or at least not MotE.

This isn't the first time we've organized a purge, you know. Last time we did a purge, the clan didn't die, in fact, it improved a lot. Like it or not, but this is a building clan, it has always been a building clan, and it will remain a building clan till the end of time, and you don't have to be in MotE to hang out with us.

But what I'm trying to say is why punish people by FORCING them to build to stay in the clan? I enjoy building, at MY leisure. Telling me I have to suddenly find the magic creativity switch in my brain and turn it on then build something so incredibly amazing your eyes would pop out of your head before an undetermined deadline is just really lame.
