CS:S, can't start a server?

Whenever I host a server and my friend wants to join they get "lan servers are restricted to local clients".
I spawn and everything, and the server appears to be up, but when my friend joins, they get the error. Help me please!

You probably drank tap water and now your server is stuck in lan mode.
