Why exactly were maps removed?

I have been playing blockland since v10 now and all of a sudden v21 removes the maps! Why the heck were they removed? I dont think i could play without them.

OT: They were removed because they looked bad with shaders. <--One reason.

They ceased development of the game, they worked improperly, and they were messing up the codes of the game.

alt, anyways they were removed because kompressor is sick of people making maps not building, basically because they were contrary to the concept of blockland

They were removed because they posed coding challenges that stopped baddy and kompressor from pushing out updates.
And a lot said they couldn't play without maps but look where we are now. If you insist on something map based just build your own terrain. I put up a terrain guide for that express purpose.
