how do you build stairs

It kind of depends on the space you've got, the use of the stairs, where they go (corners?) and then the general design of the building they are in.
I personally quite like stairs where you can see the space below each step. But that doesn't fit in all circumstances.
Sometimes I find stairs tricky to get them to look right. It's something that very much depends on the structure you're building.

I too suck at stairs.
my best staircases are just 2x6 bricks on top of eachother.
I could use tips as well.
