Alright guys, in the spare time I had on blockland during the week, I was able to finish this up.  I will have the server up tomorrow, and I'll test out popularity and listen to suggestions, then adjust it as consensually needed.

I'll soon lock this topic and move it to General Discussion as it is now a server, not a build.  Hope to see you all there tomorrow.

Ill do my best to make it. This is "My thing," I really love this type of TDM!

Alright you guys, today was the first day for this, and it was a hit and success.  There were a few major errors and glitches, pretty much the entire island-cap system and the spawnroom, but I will get those resolved tomorrow, although I do believe the spawnroom issue is a Slayer coding issue.

I have had a few complaints, actually quite a few, but I only care abou those that make sense.  The first is that people feel the islands are too far apart, and are thus too hard to find/find other people.  I countered their argument stating that this map was made for a large crowd for a long time (~32 people for 1-2 hours at a time.  I feel that I will not be changing relative location unless some more people feel the need as well.  The other issue brought up was the number of caps, people thought that there were too many - again, this map accommodates large crowds for long times.  The purpose of this will get more clear and better once I get the island-cap system working.  The final issue was the environment.  I could do some eventing to change the environment every game so it doesn't get boring, if people raise enough of an issue for it.  Also, I like the Daycycle, but quite a few people complained about how dark it is, so I may use a different Daycycle than the default.

if its going to be ww2, then why did you put modern vehicles in

I'm sorry, could you perhaps link me to some WWII vehicles that would suit my needs?  No, didn't think so.  WW2 had howitzers, although not as good as the m119, it had AA turrets, although not as bland as BL's AA turret, it had heavy machine guns, although not exactly the same type as the BL gun.  I am simply using what I can to provide an experience similar to WW2.

OH my god.

1. DEFAULT Jeep is just like the Jeep Willys, if the off road one is too modern.
2. Use a Regular tank if you need one that semi- suites the time period
3. Halftrack
4. M-35 Truck
5. LCVP
6. B-17
7. B-24
8. Spitfire
9. P-51 Mustang
10. DNR Truck or Military jeep, even though they may be glitchy for some people
11. Battleship, if water is shallow enough
12. PT Boat, if water is shallow enough

I dont feel like linking them. If you want them, and I HAVE told you about them before, search them. They're all floating on the forums.

2. Use a Regular tank if you need one that semi- suites the time period
3. Halftrack excessive and unneeded
4. M-35 Truck unneeded
5. LCVP tried it, it's stuff for this TDM
6. B-17 I don't want an OP flying bomb stuffter, yet.
7. B-24 see B 17
8. Spitfire unneeded
9. P-51 Mustang Using it already
10. DNR Truck or Military jeep, even though they may be glitchyfor some people
11. Battleship, if water is shallow enough
12. PT Boat, if water is shallow enough

I have all of these, and many more.  I have done two test days so far, and the only complaints I've had are the playertype glitches and the island cap glitch.  Everyone is quite content with the few inaccuracies that exist.

here, perhaps.

then if thats the case, why don't you make everything modern and call it "island hopping TDM".
sounds far more exciting that WW2 TDM from my point of view.

True.

"I do not know what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV Will be fought with sticks and stones."

-Einstein.

:cookieMonster: Pretty unique TDM, Ive never seen a World War Three TDM. Are you changing the classes and vehicleS?

i do believe that bamboo has leaves like a normal tree at the end of the trunk. you should add that instead of a bunch of sticks coming out o the ground.

Why, why I do not come across such a wonderful server admins such wonderful, when I in the game? (

I will be changing some things.

I decided not to use vegetation for this, it would simply be too many bricks, and would've look right.  I will, however, implement it in my next TDM, which I plan on making it Vietnam like.

I understood about half of that.  When were you on?  I'm usually grumpy towards the end of the day, and I was probably tired of all the stuff going wrong with the game.

Great news everyone, the server is a success.  I got some 20-odd people at the server, and everyone loved it.  I will be changing some P-51s to A-10s and the others to some other undetermined vehicle, possibly Strato's newer F-18, if I could get my hands on it.  I have also developed the story line further.

And since this TDM is pretty much complete, I'm moving on to the next installment, UN: The Mistake.  It takes place after UN forces meet again to determine if the coming war is really necessary, but things turn awry.  And in continuing my tradition of introducing something new in my games, I will be making this building-style environment more realistic.

I'll try to take some new pictures, now that I perfected everything (except the damn flags, which I'm close to just redoing the entire system I'm basing it on.
