Author Topic: Apparently I lost a friend today because I said "Christmas"  (Read 5335 times)

Holy stuff

That's like the worst way to react to the word christmas

I'm afraid to say but your friend is autistic.
For forget's sake, not everything that's dumb is symptom of autism, nor is it a tragic thing that must be backed away from, it's like saying you're autistic since you have a pony avatar.
It could be anything, religion, culture, not just a mental illness.

Tell your friend to go forget himself.
This.
Tell him to do it with a Christmas carrot as well.

But it's not.

He's definitely autistic.

He might be having problems at home that he won't talk to you about.

Just give him a week.

But it's not.
He's definitely autistic.
What makes you so sure he has autism? no, "lol hes dum" doesn't count.
Tell me more about your mental disorder identification skills.

Even if you do think his birthday was on December 25th it doesn't matter to a Christian because you're still just celebrating the fact that Jesus was born.

Christmas could be in the middle of August and it would still represent the same thing.
Doesn't matter if the church happened to change the time of celebration to help integrate pagan religions into christianity.
Halloween was moved so that it came just before All Saint's Day. You don't hear people complaining that Halloween has no meaning.

Actually no one really knows when Jesus was born and Christmas is based off of a Pagan holiday. Same with Easter.

They incorporated Paganism with Christianity when they took over Ireland(?).

yeah a fat guy in a red suit with presents under a tree is very religious.
ever heard of Saint Nick?

ever heard of Saint Nick?

Valentines Day and Saint Patricks day are also about Saints,  but they aren't religious holidays. Saint Nick is not the reason Christmas is Religious
