Oh my god, a SC4 topic, yes. Just. loving. Yes. This game is my entire childhood, I played it since I was 5 when I got the deluxe edition, Jesus Christ I could never to get to the actual city stage though because of RCI problems, and areas getting abandoned. Other than that, I pretty much cheat my money up most of the time at the start using either weaknesspays or the cousin vinnie mod on simtropolis to get myself started, and to some questions in this topic, yes, Maxis is just calling the new Simcity "SimCity", saying it's a reboot. I also like the way they're going with it, just the size of the land you can build in erks me, but then again, it does say "Not Final Software", and I've watched the strategy video atleast 5 times already but on-topic, yay simcity. I always end up completely loving up with taxes to get money, which is what caused me to go into cheating |

i have learned that problems will greatly start if you attempt to upgrade low to med, med to low, low to high. any combo. because certain wealth levels dont evolve very quickly, and some dont like to change the density they are in. you need poor and rich areas for each of low, med, and high density. otherwise you can cause stuffloads of abandoned buildings. the solution is actually easy. never replace zoning lol. especially once they have been there for long while and everything is balanced out. just start a new zoning in another location instead. |
