Author Topic: Spacebar acts like alt key was pressed too  (Read 8646 times)

I was playing Blockland when something random happened: the space bar started acting as if the alt key was activated as well. This is getting really irritating.

Yes, I've restarted my computer.

maybe your key bindings are messed up?

maybe your key bindings are messed up?

it's not just in blockland, it's my whole loving computer

Bash your face on the keyboard repeatedly
If there's no blood youre doing it wrong

i believe this is a form of what is referred to as

'percussive maintenance'

Sounds like either a keyboard hardware problem or some sort of registry problem. Solution: Self Delete by stab.

Try this if nothing else works

or just Self Delete by stab

do a test with a different, available keyboard to see if it's hardware or software

there are no other keyboards readily available

consider the virtual keyboard, maybe? if it's software, it ought to still not work
no that's dumb, i have no idea.

It's one of the many versions of sticky keys i believe.

Try pressing these buttons
Lcntrl 5 times ( if this makes all your clicks = right clicks then do the next one )
Rcntrl 5 Times ( Just do what it says above but in reverse. 8I )
L Alt 5 times
R Alt 5 Times

ect

wow wtf that worked.

how do I disable it?

How do you disable sticky keys?

I press shift 5 times (when they're enabled) and it comes up with a tick box saying 'enable sticky keys' although it probably depends what OS you use.
