Seems like a fine ban to me. It's dumb to come along and post JUST to say you don't care which is what he did. The only reason he recanted it was because he realized he would probably get banned not because he genuinely felt bad. He got banned for 1 week he will live and be back and Badspot encouraged him to actually think before he posts.

He made a comment that, even Treynolds agrees, had people in the thread thinking he was being dismissive at first. If this comment had a similar effect for a group of different people, it is likely that if any sort of thought was put into it, it would not be written the way it was. Apparently Badspot had the same feeling about it that the people in the thread did originally.

I did read it. It isn't hard to read the one post before his and his, why wouldn't I? I was just trying to be friendly, and warned him. I think it's a bullstuff ban too but I was just making him aware of the rule. We all know Badspot looks for little things to ban people for.

You don't need to warn him about a rule that is in a different context from what he actually meant.
