Hunting is defined as to "chase or search for (game or other wild animals) for the purpose of catching or killing." These people are not chasing nor searching, they are simply slaughtering. I'm 100% pro guns. I feel every responsible adult with common sense should own a gun, but to trap a pigeon in a box, open the box to have it fly a few feet in the air and the shoot it down.... Next they are going to drug up a mountain lion and kill it and call that a sport, or as you referred to it "hunting".
I hate pigeons so I don't know if I can contribute to this thread positively.
Animals are absolutely wonderful and deserve to be treated as such.
