Author Topic: Jagex ruins another game!  (Read 1973 times)

Where in the OP does it mention ANY of that? All I see is;

So how about you shut up, dipstuff.
And maybe learn to read more before insulting other people
You're insinuating that the game is stuff only becuase it's not free.

Original AoS was pretty fun.
New version looks like complete and utter garbage, not because its p2p, because of how much its been REMADE.
Like, the only thing even similar to the old AoS is that everything is still cubes. That's about it.

No, I'm responding to what the OP said which is, and I quote for the third time here;

IT ISN'T FREE ANYMORE

NOOOOOO

CURSE YOU JAGEX!

He doesn't mention anything about anything that would actually make the game stuffty, all he says is that Jagex ruined AoS by making it so that you have to pay a one-time fee to own the game and play it forever.
Then you come in here and call me a dipstuff for responding to what the OP said and then started blurting stuff about how the gameplay has been ruined, none of which is related to what the OP said nor what I responded with beyond the fact that we're talking about AoS

they took an interesting WW1-esque fps with trench digging and building and turned it into some bastard child of minecraft and tf2
even the class trailers are a bit of a ripoff of the meet the team videos
(psst why isn't this in games)

how does having to pay for something make it ruined?

in my extensive gaming career, i have noticed an increase in quality when games require money.

That being said, quality =/= addictiveness.
I mean, Maplestory has probably chewed up far more of my gaming time than any MMORPG I actually paid for

TF2

One easy payment of 5 Dollars.

Thats not what "Pay to Enjoy" really means. Pay to enjoy is more like Spiral Knights, where it is impossible to do ANYTHING without buying stuff

Yes and no
No, in the fact it's been remade too much
Yes, in the fact it's been greatly improved in terms of engine features.

the old one sucked. maps were all tiny, it looked horrible, and half the game was getting shot by someone halfway across the map. played it like 5 times and got boring in no time.

EDIT : Looked at some gameplay and i personaly think its much better then the classic version and with classes, features and more i honestly think ill buy this game, its only ten bucks, even though theres no modding support yet :s

Sorry, that was the first thing to pop into my head.

On the other hand, I'm not worried, Jagex has yet to ruin a game and I have no clue what you're talking about. I'm gonna buy it as soon as I get my paycheck, It looks pretty awesome!

It's 10 dollars.

That sure is a lot of money, apparently.
