I haven't seen the newer one, but the older one had way too many prepubescent kids running around naked with no censors

The Giver was pretty disturbing in my opinion, other than that, I haven't read many disturbing books.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I felt all sick inside when I finished it.

definitely dr. seuss's "cat in the hat"

Also Edgar Allan Poe is Kind of messed up
Little known fact: I share my birthday with him, pretty cool stuff.

Anyway: The Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark scared me as a child, some images still haunt me.

As much as I hate to say it, two of my favorite stores The Tell Tale Heart and The Book Thief are both gruesome, yet I cherish them both.

disturbing as in what? bc Mockingjay was depressing, and it is disturbing to be depressed
and the Odd Thomas novels, especially the first one, aren't very comforting either
