Author Topic: What do you think of Valve's 'SteamBox' console?  (Read 1388 times)

Like 99% of PC games already have native controller support. The only things I would imagine don't support controllers are games like Starcraft, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, etc.
Sadly, this includes Blockland...
..although these types of games would be tricky to configure to a controller.

I laugh that console kids that think PC games should be wiped out. Without the PC there would be nothing to make their stuffty dime a dozen console games. We should be thankful for valve for creating steam as it saved pc gaming for the time being. Although steam has one major flaw - You are mearly renting the games for life. So if your account gets banned or permanently locked then you just lost a major investment. As long as Valve doesn't turn there backs on PC gamers and starts creating steam box exclusives we have nothing to worry about.

This will definitely pull in the console users. And who's to say it won't have mouse/keyboard support? If it were to support a mouse and keyboard, I'd definitely get it to play the games my PC can hardly run.

Most of those just plain wouldn't work with a controller  (Hotline Miami supports controllers though).  Strategy games are near impossible on a controller.  Also, adding controller support is easy as hell on the windows side if you're using Xinput at the very least.

Plus you can use mouse and keyboard anyways lol.

Hopefully if they do make one they would make it easy for people to put in more RAM, hard drive space, better GPU, stuff like that so people could build onto it later for newer games.

Doesn't matter if it's on XBOX/PS3 cuz THIS IS THE VALVE CONSOLE AND PATENTS AND COPYRIGHTS ARE A THING
