I admit the texture work is shoddy, and the developer is almost too hush hush, the fact that you're plunged into the world without a sense of direction is the point. You're surviving a zombie apocalypse, you're not commuting to work. You have to explore to find the supplies you need and attempt to develop the psychology of your fellow players to stay alive. Personally, I feel not all of the game's criticism is deserved.

Here we go..

there's differences between inspiration and flat out idea stealing; WarZ nutshelled is DayZ but with more PVP

SpitFir3Tornado²:

Also, the key to winning at this game, turning terrain detail to LOW/OFF
All the grasses/shrubbery that isn't a physical entity disappears, and you can see anybody/anything on the ground with relative ease.

Also, they added a massive christmas tree in Clearview that spawns red/green chemlights and Santa hats w/ beards.

There may be more of them, but I have only been to Clearview since the new update.

The devs blamed the players for "misreading" their blatant false advertising. And also might have been censoring the SPUF sub-forum posts.

According to one of their ex-moderators they randomly ban people with a high playtime on their account. Hoping they'll buy it again and thus, give them more money. They also refuse to ban hackers since a large majority of the player base is hacking, and they fear they'll request refunds.

Kotaku also has a article listing some more stuff I forgot about.

Needless to say the devs are absolute starfishs.
