It only describes the publishing process. Puzzle being a genre means you'll need to solve some kind of puzzle, putting more brainwork rather than reflexes or accuracy. Indie tells me there's no publisher. That doesn't tell me what kind of game it is. |

There's been indie games more successful than non-indie. There's been indie games that were complete stuff. There's been vice versa. |
