The way how Nintendoland uses it, makes it one of the most important things in the controller. The ninja shuriken throw extrabonaganza whatever uses only the touch screen and the gyroscope to play. Yoshi's food kart uses the stylus and Legend Of Zelda (as the archer) uses the gamepad's touchscreen as your screen where you aim.

I like the way how ignorant you are and just want to glorify your loving emulator and bash on the Wii U for no reason. Wii U along with its predecessor consoles follows the "last generation is supported in its physical form". You can also download (for a price) games from older consoles arranging from NES to Nintendo 64 + all portable consoles.

Gamecube games will be released on the Wii Store at discounted price, as WiiU games. Meaning WindWaker WiiU, Melee WiiU, Metroid Prime WiiU.

It's quite easy to emulate the GameCube system a computer without injecting a forgetton of code. I don't know about the disk tray but the wii's looks fine (its probably something different but if the wii could do it the wii u could). Also Sony is doing the same thing Nintendo is doing trying to get people to buy from their online store. Which is stupid because if I already bought the game. Nice I should still be able to play it without buying it again for a new system.
