Bisjac:
from what i seen, the cities can no longer get massive and awesome :\
its like they want you to build in these bitty lots. and you dont even own the lot next door.

plus even blockland has its own "drm"
you cant even play it without net connectivity at least once to enable the key.
and then every update requires yet another.
and then being online in a multiplayer game requires one like whatever intervals it checks.

its all the same song and dance

SimCity is a too good game for me to give it up because of an online requirement

Even if you crack it, simulating the city requires a connection to EA servers.

I dont see why EA made it like that, wouldnt it just be more expensive for them to always keep up those servers?

Not if they eventually charge monthly.
Nickelob Ultra:
the always-online isn't that big of a problem unless it won't have any offline function, but then again like Bisjac said it doesn't look like it can get as big as it normally could get in SC4/3/2/etc. which also kind of irritates me.

it's like it looks nice and all but it's not something I want to pay $60 for.
