filipe, how many graphic cards have you bought in your lifetime?
general question.

The conversation in this thread makes little to no sense.

they are bad for gaming in general.

Lol are you one of those ridiculous people who was brainwashed by Nvidia's marketing?

AMD's CPU's are poop in comparison to its competitor Intel, but when it comes to their GPUs they are very competitive in the market.

In many cases, AMD is more affordable, more power efficient, and less pricey than certain other similarly priced models of Nvidia's range. They have a bad wrap for software in the past but thats clearing up.

EDIT: Sorry I see now you were referring to laptops, not AMD cards. But I'll leave this here anyway.

Usually amd wins on the price to power, however I think Nvidia won this time with the 670, it's pretty great for it's price. Like  amazing

explain to me why AMD processors are 'poop', please? Please include technical information, no AMD is cheaper/not as fast bullstuff.

Comparatively, Intel processors perform better when you are in the higher end market to their counterparts. You might not want to hear that but its true if you develop an average for benchmarking results.

AMD is always playing technological catchup. A good handful of their higher core CPUs don't have the "true" amount of cores. Its a bit of a corner cutting so they can appeal to the market of gamers trying to save a buck without the heaviest of compromises.

AMD processors are often better suited to laptops and budget gaming rigs, and its no accident we see this time and time again. If you are going all out and building an expensive rig, it is mad to cop out with an AMD processor.

If you are building a budget to medium gaming rig, it can be an alright choice. For a high ender, its a bit mad to go with an AMD. Many computer assemblers will agree.

"Poop" is a harsh way to put it. Perhaps a few steps behind and never ahead, is a better way to look at it.

edit:  just to add, in my experience, AMD CPUs are more likely to bone up with age. Can't really use that as an argument point because it could be coincidence. Less reliable imo.

"NVIDIA GTX 670M"
The GTX 670M is based on the GTX670 but packed into a laptop GPU form factor, I think.

Yeah, I think it performs a tad weaker because of this too. Thats usually what happens.

I am currently running a 7750 right now on a 500w PSU so...

I got the AMD Radeon HD 7750 :o
Looked it up, your "new" one is the SAME as mine.

It's funny how this topic went to a simple question on what is needed to handle a new graphic card, for an AMD vs Nvidia vs Intel

AMD works fine for me. :I

There is a scarce amount of periods in here.

Clearly if your power supply can support a 4850 it should be able to support a 7750. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

It does for me too, I think it's one of the best

Oh sweet!
