Button effect?

How do people event that one effect, where you click on a brick and the brick moves inward for a few miliseconds as if it were a button?
I thought maybe they just fakekilled the brick for half a second and respawned it, but that didn't work. It moved a little and then faded before respawning, which didn't look right at all.
