I don't really think badspot would ban you for sharing the key with a single friend. But if you keep sharing that key and suddenly there are 10 different users, it will probably be blocked

He can't use it at all.
IP changes in the log he has for the auth server stick out like a sore thumb when done repeatedly between two different locations.
You're also posting on his forum. Don't share the key, not even with that friend.
