Editing Xalos's elevators

currently I can only put 8 bricks on an elevator. I looked through his Mod Discussion and found this;

Though I don't fully understand where to stick that / what to modify. To my understanding I open Event_Elevators.zip, then Server.cs, but then it's all just a big huge pile of code.
Any help would be appreciated.
