If your graphics card overheats, but not any other component, what happens? Does it freeze your computer, forcing you to restart, or would it just shut down your computer? I believe my gpu may be overheating if it is the first case, because that's what happens to me sometimes when I'm playing a game. I also believe it's my gpu because when I restart it, sometimes my monitor doesn't detect anything and goes to sleep, yet I'll still hear the windows start up sound play. If I wait a bit then restart, everything works fine.

I'm pretty sure your GPU won't freeze or shutdown your computer, you just won't have a display. Try checking the connections on your GPU. You can also get some software that tells you the temperature of your GPU so you know if it's really hot or not.

That's not a Super Nova lol, it's a 400B. It's a decent enough budget PSU, but nothing you want powering your overclocked gaming rig and it probably isn't going to last very long. Still not bad for $10, though.

it's a cheap, fully modular, reliable psu with plenty of power

One thing you need to remember is that PSUs have different levels of efficiency when under different levels of load.

The same PSU is going to perform better its load is higher. If your computer isn't drawing anywhere near 1000W, it's probably a massive waste.

Ultimately your decision, but you might want to put in a SLI'd 980 as soon as you can to get the most out of your PSU.

small issue: I'm unable to use ethernet on my 3 month old computer and need to use wifi, it works but it keeps dropping connection to literally nothing while my internet remains fine on other devices
is the wifi card faulty or what cause my mac works fine

I went to control panel, network and sharing center, clicked the connections, properties and clicked configure, then went to power management and unticked "allow the computer to turn this off this device to save power"
