It turns out I have a strong chance of getting all the parts then. --- End quote --- I don't know to be honest. Six months is a long time in the tech world. There's nothing to gain by sticking with the current part list anyway, just ask again when you have enough money. |

--- Quote from: Majorth on August 25, 2015, 03:40:37 PM ---How come this prebuilt is cheaper, but equal specs to my custom? --- End quote --- Prebuilts always have a bunch of bloatware software crap installed on them, they probably get a bunch of kickbacks from that. They probably work out deals directly with the part manufacturers, buying straight from them in bulk, rather than a middleman. They may be just selling at or near cost, so they can just get rid of old models to make room for newer models that everyone wants to buy They usual cut corners and use cheaper stuff on things like RAM, PSU, and mobo. |

The prevuilt I was looking at had a terrible graphics card, and didn't come with a monitor, so if I wanted to get a better graphics card, and buy the monitor, it would've come to the same price. Also, I think that the school my mum teaches at offers free Windows 7 and 8 to staff, so my mum is gonna get it on that hopefully. --- Quote from: Pentium on August 26, 2015, 01:48:10 PM ---I don't know to be honest. I don't want to end up paying even more because new and better things keep coming out. |

I don't think the parts will be more expensive, just that there will be more modern equivalents for the same price. |
