The i7 isn't much better than the i5 for gaming and definitely not worth the extra $100. She's probably not going to need more than 8 gigs of RAM either.

You do NOT need the i7 for gaming, especially for 1080p. OVERKILL. nice stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megahertz_myth

As of right now, you also do not need 8 gigs for gaming, hell, you only necessarily NEED 4 gigs.

John Freeman needs the forum's help:

--- Quote from: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/3japtj/troubleshooting_pc_randomly_restarts_or_freezes/ ---So I built my first computer around around 2-3 months ago, and so far I've had no problems with it. Then, all of the sudden, my computer will randomly restart itself or freeze completely, and the only fix is to do a hard shut-down. This only started happening maybe two days ago at most, I'm not sure what could be causing it.

I've checked temperatures of my parts, and nothing was out of place, so I don't believe it was my computer overheating. What should I do?
