[MEGATHREAD] Personal Computer - Updated builds thanks to Logical Increments
Pentium:
It's actually pretty decent save for a few things, like the motherboard not having an onboard USB 3 header and the kind of meh power supply (a far superior 450W Antec Earthwatts is only $2 more ATM). You also don't neccessarily need a third-party cooler to overclock the Pentium since it already comes with the cooler from an i5/i7; if you spend those $30 extra you might as well add another $10 and get an i3 instead.

I'll be keeping my trusty laptop :)

When I looked around, I saw 'Windows 8.1 Pro Edition' and things like that so I wasn't sure :I

Alright listen up folks
I will enlist help from you all if you would help find me a 2 in 1 ultrabook option. I will list below some characteristics I am looking for and what I don't want
1) Has to be light weight 4 lbs or less
2) Has to have battery life exceeding 6 hours
3) Has to be non detachable
4) Is not a Surface Pro (I already had one, albeit I liked it, but I don't want another)
5) Either 11 inches up to 14 inches screen size
6) Doesn't look like an autistic 12 year old picked out the colors and design
My budget I am aiming for is around the 400 starting point and to not exceed 900-1000, ideally I'd like to median somewhere in the 600-800 dollar range.

i'll endorse this
i typically like lenovo products, but be careful - they kind of come with a lot of bloat. the screens are usually stuffty, but this one's got a good one. the yoga's a great laptop though, and the orange is pretty lovey
