Actually, no, I don't have a problem with change. I transitioned from XP to 7 and liked almost everything they did; I've even used OSX without any issues, and that's not even from the same OS family. I just think the new settings GUI is poorly designed and a step down from the old control panel.

Also please don't strawman, it's embarrasing and looks like fanboying, even if that's not what you're doing.

i barely even use windows, it was just a joke
if you dont like the changes theres nothing anyone can do to stop you from not liking it
i haven't even seen the new control panel anyway

Windows as a Service is exactly what you don't like, but your going to have to get used to it, since Windows is now Treated more like a Service things will change often, lucky for you it seems Microsoft kept Control Panel still in the November Update, its really gutted down to the basics, but its still there, though compared to PC settings, now that many settings are moved into PC Settings, Control Panel is kind of just a leftover ready to be removed.

I bet that when the the next update "Redstone" comes out, Control Panel will truly be eliminated as PC Settings will have all its functions by then.

Sorry, it's just that people's been using that exact same argument seriously to defend Windows 8 since it came out three years ago - Poe's law and all.

Darryl McKoy:

The PC settings app annoys me. I much prefer control panel and use it regularly, so I probably won't update for now.
