dont buy amd its seriously trash dude a pentium dual core for 60 dollars at 3.1 ghz does better than a 6350 six core for 150 dolalrs at 4.5 ghz extra cores are not extra performance, most games only use 1 - 2 cores and intel blows the forget out of AMD on single core performance |

The AMD is a few places higher than the intel one, its cheaper tho. --- Quote from: stufflord on November 14, 2015, 04:49:01 PM ---extra cores are not extra performance --- End quote --- lol wat EDIT: Nevermind, going with the I5 |

The way I like to look at Intel vs AMD is that if you can afford the Intel, then there is no question you should go with it. But the AMD's can pull a lot of performance at a low price, so in a lower budget build like yours you can reap a lot more benefit for the price from an AMD. Lord's a bit of an exaggerator, AMD wouldn't exist anymore if their products didn't do what they say on the tin. I've got an 8-core AMD cpu and I've never had any particular complains about it's performance. |

I also selected another, cheaper, motherboard and with the money I saved I spend it on a better cpu. Comparing both I got this. The intel one: + Allot Less wattage + Onboard graphics + Better single core peformance + Build in GPU + More cache Amd one: + Overal peformance + More cores + More Ghz/core + more I2 cache (whatever that means) + more I3 cache (whatever that means) + unlocked (oveclocking whoo!) + Better peformance/dollar they both have their advantages. Seems like AMD is better for video editing, rendering, etc... while Intel wins at gaming. While I do both this is p much a struggle, but I mainly game so i'm going with the intel one. Looking at PC specs from streamers i noticed all of them had intel CPU's |
