Would this be a reasonable photo editing machine for some family members of mine?

They don't video game, like, at all. (The only reason for the video card is it needs an HDMI output).
All it would be is for photoshop, not at professional level, and browsing the internet.

If a dollar could be scratched off without sacrificing how long it'll last, that's fine.
Its going to be for someone who will have it for probably 5 years or more.

So they agree; no legal content was added. They only modified the examples given. Doesn't change the legal power they hold.

I wouldn't touch a Seagate drive with a 9-foot pole after my experience with them. In my opinion, I think you ought to drop to a lower price processor and throw in a WD harddrive + SSD combo in there. SSD's are what actually give the performance boost most 'normal' people would notice.

i had one out of my 3 WD drives fail and another is making a weird noise
my 3tb Segate is still going strong
