Well, the WD vs Seagate is probably mostly just a matter of opinion. I'd still highly recommend slashing the processor down a notch to get an SSD in that build. The SSD does so much more work for you in the end than a strong processor when you're just doing typical stuff. |

In my opinion, I think you ought to drop to a lower price processor and throw in a WD harddrive + SSD combo in there. SSD's are what actually give the performance boost most 'normal' people would notice. --- End quote --- I don't really think an SSD is necessary for a few people in their late 50's. :P Although if you know of a better price/performance processor and a respectable WD drive without effecting price too much, that would be nice. |
| Swat 3:
An SSD heavily decreases loading times, and with my SSD, my computer boots in about 10-15 seconds (and this is only because for some reason my computer takes a bit to POST). To nice PC building person, you should go to reddit.com/r/buildapc and go to the IRC they have. Great people on that chat, they'll take care of you. |

| Bisjac:
People must be dropping laptops with hdds, or raiding up and ultra writing stuffloads of data for 365 non stop. Because i have never in my life experienced a failed hd of any type or brand |
