i found much cheaper RAM but it's 240-pin and the motherboard you linked was 288-pin
what's the difference, and is it worth using more expensive RAM to get that motherboard?

Cheapest GPU I could find is the the GeForce GTX 970 with "4 GB VRAM" for $260-ish. I know it has a big flaw being the if the remaining .5 gHz is used then everything goes to stuff.
Should I just wait it out for better, cheaper cards to come by? If not, then I was thinking of going for an upgrade to lower the temperature/loudness of my computer (CPU Cooler, Case fan, and thermal paste).
Forgot to mention I have a GTX 760 2GB and have a 1080p monitor
