so I installed Arch Linux on this machine and unfortunately it seems like it wouldn't run my steam games without having the GPU heat up to 83C+. Then it'd throttle and the game would freeze and show some screen tearing. I had the proprietary NVIDIA drivers installed and all, also had fans running on max. the game in question is borderlands 2. I don't think I'll be able to use GNU/Linux on this machine for gaming |
