I ran my 4690k (not overclocked) and Hyper 212 Evo through cinebench and the temperatures went from 34C to 39C. If anything, I've never seen the temperatures go past 45C, yet I can find people online getting it as hot as 75C with the same cooler.

I ask because my motherboard temperature sensors don't work (105 degrees after a cold boot apparently) and am curious if that would botch CPU temps in any way.

5 minutes later it's at 32. I have a hard time believing my CPU is only a few degrees warmer than my room.

I just find it a bit strange that it never goes above 45 even at full load.

What do with a spare 2.5" 5400RPM 380Gb HDD?
I still have some old stuff on it (but I jacked it from my laptop thats been broken for like 2 years so the data on it wont be really usefull)
