Because they're not, they're made to do things that CPU's can't but not things that CPU's can

Its litteraly the same unless you have a different socket and have to buy a different mobo?

Last time I built a PC the video card just plugged into the motherboard. The CPU I had to delicately lay down with thermal paste and put the heatsink on top of it.
