I am looking to buy a $500 computer build, with a kickass video card. I don't know much about computer parts and such, but I assume you guys do. Any recommendations / videos / http://pcpartpicker.com lists?
Please help me out.

You can't get much for $500, I'm sure we'll do what we can but don't go having unrealistic expectations. What's your current rig? What peripherals (mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers) do you have already and don't need replacing? Do you have an OS you can use on it? HDD's you can use in it? Do you need a DVD drive? Do you need a wi-fi adapter card?

Remember to always tell us what you absolutely must have, already have and don't need replacing if you're asking for a partslist for a new PC

Hm. I have an OS, i have a monitor, I do not need a DVD drive, my current computer is a stuffty laptop, I don't have any Hard Drives, I can probably get Ethernet, I need at least 500 GB of storage, and a video card that is exceptionally good (good enough to run GTA at decent graphic settings).

You can screw open your laptop and take the HDD out and use it with your desktop.
Unless you still want some kind of portable computer and have to carry files from one place to another.
