So I have a 360Gb 5400RPM drive and a 7200RPM drive in my desktop. Is it a good idea to replace the 360 one with a 1Tb (also 5400rpm) in my other laptop and set up a raid0 with the 7200rpm drive? |

Or doesnt it work like that? |

Or doesnt it work like that? --- End quote --- im pretty sure setting up raid doesn't make your disks spin faster. the reason it works at double speeds (if i recall correctly) is that one half of the data is stored in a harddrive, while the other half is stored on another harddrive. also, if you have a 1tb harddrive, and raid 0 that with 120 gb ssd, i think you get the storage of the ssd, and the speed of the harddrive, which i think is kinda similar in its case |
