Hmm
I really just want my cpu to run (at max) 60 degrees celsius instead of the mid 80s.

it could get even hotter for all I know. I just end up shutting stuff down once it gets to that point

also to clarify I really don't mind shelling out an extra $20 just to ensure it's cooled

Do you have and AMD?
Pentium:
I think you're being a little paranoid about the temps. Hitting 85°C in something like Prime95 isn't dangerous; if it was, Intel would've set the CPU to thermal-throttle at those temps or shipped it with a better cooler.

And I dont feel like ordering online tho because delivery costs

Oh, I'm not saying the 212 EVO is bad by any means, it'll still be good for your intents and purpose, I'm just saying that the Cryorig H7 is a better option, even if it's a little more expensive.

Pretty much this. The stock coolers are designed to not overheat the cpu wichever task it is. Either way of you have AMD, AMD uses algorithms to know its temperature (or atleast thats what someone told me) so its not always accurate.

I see. Either way out of this list wich would you choose thats ~30 and is so quiet you cant hear m. As log as it cools as good as the stock cooler
