Am I the only one who buys monitors from thrift stores? I am currently using a HP w2338h http://www.amazon.com/HP-W2338H-23-Inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B001UHOX28 Got it at a thrift store for $20, only has a small scratch on the bottom center of the screen, but I never notice it, it still had the glossy protection film from when it was bought so I removed that and its almost brand new.
