Guys, I timed a warm boot and a cold boot.

Warm boot: 2s until login screen, 7s total until desktop stabilizes.
Cold boot: 28s until login screen, 33s total until desktop stabilizes.

Anyone know why the absurd difference?

Whats warm boot and cold boot?
Im not sure but I think when you do a warm boot windows saves some stuff in your RAM to speed it up.
Its just a guess that would make sense to me.

Warm boot is shutting down the PC and it saves service states onto the HDD. Cold boot is booting while loading EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVERYTHING from zero.

Warm boot would be a hibernation but without saving user programs, just system services and processes.

The only thing though, is that I'm not sure if a lot of coolers will work with am4. Probably will though, but then again you might not need one for a while because that new stock cooler is actually pretty loving good. I'd suggest waiting to see what your options are as well.

I've never built a computer before, and just starting out picking parts.
But with a budget of 500, I'd personally get this.
Left 45$~ for you to choose a case you'd like.
Comparing what I believe is closest to your list to mine, this ones generally better.
But I'd let other people look over it first to see what they believe should be changed.
