Their overall build quality (PCB, Plastic, Cable, leds) is poor compared to their older keyboards, when their pricing was decent, and Razer's overall keyboards aren't the greatest thing ever, if you have ever met the Razer Deathstalker, its a Membrane Chiclet key based eyboard that can have a nasty defect where your shift and ctrl keys get stuck. Personally I don't like their "aggressive gamer" look, I bought a hybrid/Memchanical keyboard on Amazon a few weeks ago to replace it and even it has better build quality than the deathstalker. The worst thing in general about Razer's keyboards are their dependency on Razer Synapse, I hate having to have a uneeded piece of software running in the background just to use a keyboard. I would like to just use it for customizing the keyboard and then be able to close it and not touch it, but nope, as soon as you close razer synapse the nkro functions and winkey lock, all those special functions go away. For the price Razer sells a Blackwidow Chroma I can get something from Ducky that will not only have better build quality, but it won't need a loving program in the backround and offers a stuff ton of customizability. |
